Sailing Tours San Diego
West Coast Multihull Charters is proud to have some of the best day sails and tours on offer here in San Diego, leaving regularly from our docks. If you have your own ideas for a custom tour, contact us and we’d be happy to put something together for you and your group.
San Diego Harbor Tour
This half day tour is a must see. You will explore scenic San Diego Harbor and all that it has to offer. Only from the water can you truly experience the San Diego skyline. Cruise past the Seaport Village shoreline and wave to those who wish they were with you. You will explore the USS Midway, Star of India, Glorietta Bay, Coronado Bridge and the Embarcadero. Get close to the home of the U.S. Navy’s Pacific Fleet and, with a little luck, maybe see a dolphin or two swimming in the harbor.
Coronado Island Day Sail
This FULL DAY tour will take you out to the beautiful Coronado Islands in Mexican waters. Located about 19 nautical miles southwest of San Diego, these islands are a wild life preserve. You will explore the beautiful coastline and see sea lions, a variety of birds and hopefully a dolphin or two. This tour is an 8 to 10 hour sail.
Whale Watching in San Diego
This is a seasonal event, typically December through March. Please contact us to see if the California Gray Whales, Humpbacks or Blue Whales are migrating. Viewing whales from the deck of a silent sailboat is unlike any other whale watching experience. You get to see AND HEAR these magnificent animals.

If you are new to San Diego and plan on sailing or boating in the San Diego area, consider joining us for this sailing tour of San Diego. We will show you all the places you need to know to make your time on the water enjoyable, including popular anchorages, fuel docks, customs dock, places to get food on the water, as well as identify safety and danger spots when navigating the bay and near coastal areas.
Sweetheart Cruise
This tour is the most romantic San Diego Sailing Tour you will ever take. Set up as an evening or even a 2 day sailing escape (see skippered charters). You and your loved one will be whisked away for this fully-catered adventure. Each sail is customized to your desires.
