Sea of Cortez Catamaran Charter Options
WCM’s charter base is strategically placed near the north end of what many consider to be the finest 150 mile stretch of cruising available in North America, if not the world. You can take your time to explore the islands, nooks and crannies of this amazing area.
WCM clients are invited to enjoy the crystal clear, warm waters of the Sea of Cortez – numerous offshore islands to explore, dozens of secluded anchorages, refreshing margaritas, and spectacular fishing. Options include destination Learn-to-Sail vacations and captained charters. In all cases you’re looking at the sailing experience of a lifetime. Day after day of “best day ever” kind of sailing, which may ruin you forever. In a good way.
Captained Charters
Leave all your worries behind as you and your favorite people cruise in style. For a crewed catamaran charter in the Sea of Cortez, NO SAILING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. You will board one of our spacious catamarans and simply enjoy the ride as you explore the wide open bays, quiet coves and stunning scenery of the Sea of Cortez.
Captained charters mean that the yacht is rented with a professional crew consisting of at least a licensed captain who is responsible for the maneuvering of the yacht. In some cases the captain is aided by a chef or other crew members as well. Typically they operate solo.
Bareboat Charters
You and your crew are free to choose your own itinerary, and experience the thrill of full command of a modern sailing catamaran.
Bareboat charter rates in Mexico are dependent on location and vessel chosen. Please explore the interactive pricing guide, or contact us for details.
Islands of Loreto Day Charters
WCM is now offering casual day trip catamaran charters from our base at Puerto Escondido. NO SAILING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED. Board one of our spacious catamarans and simply enjoy the ride as you explore the amazing Sea of Cortez and the islands near Puerto Escondido and Loreto. NOTE that all of these trips require at least six people in order to leave the dock. Your best bet is to put together a group of six, or be flexible and in touch with us as we work to add people to the trip.
Sea of Cortez Charter Catamaran Fleet
All of our cats are based at the Loreto/Puerto Escondido location, and nearly all charters will begin and end from this ideal location. You may have the option of starting and/or finishing your charter at La Paz, with an additional delivery charge for us to move the cat before or after your charter.

LORETO/PUERTO ESCONDIDO BASE: About two-thirds of the way down the Sea of Cortez, on Mexico’s famed Baja Peninsula, sit Loreto and Puerto Escondido. Backed by the stunning Sierra de la Giganta range to the west and a spread of islands and dazzling blue waters to the east, this area boasts spectacular sailing, beach exploration, historic communities, gorgeous remote anchorages, and world-class fishing. It’s an ideal base for exploring one of the richest, most starkly beautiful cruising areas on the planet, a place Jacques Cousteau once proclaimed “The Aquarium of The World.”
From The Mouths of Sailors...
Our first Sailing adventure was with West Coast Multihulls, and it was easily the most remarkable experience of our lives. With 2 kids, we were unsure where to start. WCM and Captain Ryan both went above and beyond to ensure that my entire family enjoyed every aspect of our trip. It's all our kids want to talk about since getting back on land. We can't wait to come back!

I took my wife and her friends out for her birthday. Capitan Trevor is the man, and made sure everyone had the best time possible. The next day she told me it was her best birthday yet. I highly recommend!

I wish I could give our experience 10 stars. 11 ladies took a morning cruise for my bachelorette, and it was the perfect laid back morning I was looking for. The boat was beyond amazing: plenty of lounge area, a big table for eating, a fridge to load everything into and speakers for jams... everyone had the best time!
