West Coast Multihulls is excited to announce our newest charter base and ASA Sailing School  location in Marina Del Rey, California. As of June 1, 2024, West Coast Multihulls and Blue Pacific Yachting have joined forces to create Southern California’s premiere yacht charter company and ASA sailing school. WCM has the largest and newest catamaran charter fleet on the West Coast of the United States and now offers Charters, ASA sailing lessons, and Sailing Club in three spectacular locations: San Diego, Los Angeles/Catalina Island, and Loreto/Sea of Cortez, Mexico.

With the addition of Blue Pacific, WCM now has a fleet of 23 boats available for charter and sailing lessons including 13 cruising catamarans ranging in size from 36 to 50 feet.

“Since establishing the sailing school and charter business in San Diego and Sea of Cortez, Mexico, I’ve often dreamed about another location with closer proximity to Catalina and the Channel Islands,” says WCM Founder and President, Kurt Jerman. “The opportunity to acquire Blue Pacific Yachting in Los Angeles ( Marina del Rey) is the perfect solution!”

WCM is celebrating 25 years in the boating industry in 2024, and has proudly awarded thousands of ASA certifications to enthusiastic students. WCM stands as a beacon of excellence in maritime education and the school has garnered multiple accolades, particularly for its outstanding ASA instructors, earning recognition and specializing as a world-class Catamaran Sailing School.

WCM has been awarded TripAdvisor’s esteemed Traveler’s Choice Award every year since its inclusion in 2019, and has been featured in numerous international sailing magazine articles highlighting the incredible cruising grounds, annual flotillas and sailing events that WCM hosts in Southern California and the Sea of Cortez.

Blue Pacific Yachting has been inspiring students to learn how to sail for 30 years in Los Angeles and out to Catalina Island. Their contribution to ASA has been extensive and their monohull sailing program will be a great compliment to WCM’s growing charter fleet. BPY currently has three (4) cabin Cruising Catamarans available for charters and lessons.
