When sailing and cruising a gorgeous luxury catamaran away from the relative safety of a marina, you will be settling in various bays, coves and waterfronts, on moorings and on your own anchor. It’s important that she stay where you put her. Meaning, you want to know that your anchoring and mooring techniques are up to snuff. Let WCM show you the right way to anchor and moor a cruising catamaran. Most of the principles can be applied to any boat. We will cover common scenarios, as well as the specifics of a fore-aft mooring situation like at Catalina.

Prerequisites:  ASA 101 & 103 or a reasonable amount of boating experience.

Learn the correct methods of anchoring and mooring a catamaran in these hands-on clinics with a certified captain. These classes are intended to improve your confidence, and competence, during the critical first and last 50 feet of your sailing cruises. Clinics are limited to 4 people per session, so don’t delay.
