Kurt Jerman has made his life’s work in the boating industry as a cruiser, salesman, brand embassador/distributor, broker, working in manufacturing and running a charter operation and sailing school. He is the owner and founder of West Coast Mutlihulls, and enjoys nothing more than creating long lasting friendships with the sailors he encounters everyday as WCM guides them along their various journeys, from novices to those seeking distant horizons.

Guinevere has been sailing and living aboard her 47’ sailboat for the last 5 years has enjoyed the cruising lifestyle in Southern California and in the Sea of Cortez with her partner – Photographer / Videographer Eddie Frank. She is passionate about sharing this unique lifestyle with others and found her calling when she met Kurt Jerman at WCM in 2018. She took over sales of charters and lessons in San Diego and Mexico in 2019, and is excited about WCM’s future as the premier Catamaran Sailing Adventure Company and ASA Sailing School.

Vicki Vandruff grew up on power boats, then learned to sail in 2010. Since then she’s been involved in racing and has cruised in Mexico for three years aboard her Herreshoff Caribbean 50. She loves that she’s finally able to merge her passion with her profession.

Lance Bottof has been a cornerstone of WCM’s charter operation and sailing school since opening the doors in 2010. He loves to demystify the process of sailing for his students and charter guests, opening the door to understanding the forces at work on the boat. Lance makes sure everyone has a good time, feels safe, and develops good sailing habits that will serve them well wherever their adventures may take them.

Andy Berry

Andy Berry has been teaching sailing since the 1970s, sharing his passion with generations of sailors. He loves sailing for its varied disciplines, and the dynamic nature of a sailboat in the wind and water. He makes sure everyone participates, shares roles, and loves to take a group of sailors that might not even know each other, and create an efficient team.

Anthony Austin

San Diego native, Capt. Anthony Austin, “The Happy Captain,” brings 35 years of sailing experience to every outing. His knowledge and love of sailing and of the sea is apparent in every cruise and class. He is a font of information on sailing, San Diego, and the surrounding sea and its inhabitants. He loves the sea and wants to share that love with everyone by providing superior quality and once-in-a-lifetime experiences for every client.

Eddie Frank

Eddie has been a professional photographer/videographer for over 10 years and is passionate about exploring and living an adventurous life on the water. He is an expert drone pilot and has captured most of the photo/video content you see online for West Coast Multihulls including video cruising guides for Southern California and the Sea of Cortez. Eddie is also a USCG Licensed Captain and ASA Sailing Instructor and enjoys teaching from WCM’s three charter base locations in San Diego, Loreto and La Paz.

Sherry Schreck

Sherry began sailing as a child in Seattle, often going on week-long excursions with her family. She windsurfed and sailed Hobie Cats in college and graduate school while earning a masters in biomedical engineering. Sherry has spent the last 25 years teaching yoga, reiki healing, and leading yoga retreats, and is looking forward to offering a day-long yoga sailing retreat this summer.
