Our sailing school philosophy and goal is to emphasize quality, service, and simplicity. We pay more to hire the best instructors and provide instruction on the finest boats. We limit our classes to four students to maximize your engagement and time at the helm. Our classes are offered to you in a streamlined manner that does not include additional (surprise!) fees for additional texts, certifications, testing etc. that add to the true out-the-door prices of the classes.  We are required to charge a San Diego Port & Marina fee of 9% on the class price. That’s it!

  • Great instruction, great boat, great weekend! Ryan was a great teacher and the 44′ Catamaran was in excellent condition. I look forward to chartering from West Coast Multihulls in the future.–Eddie R, Denver (via TripAdvisor)

  • Meeting a new customer’s expectation in today’s world doesn’t happen all the time. Exceeding that expectation rarely happens. Words cannot express what a perfect learning experience and training classroom Andy Berry presented to us, his students, this past week.–Jay W, Las Vegas

  • Everything went smooth, and for our first overnight trip on a boat we had a lot of uncertainty but the whole crew at West Coast Multihulls made sure we knew what we needed to know and be well prepared. The trip got us valuable skills, and really wonderful memories that as a family we’ll value.–jshirley2022, via TripAdvisor

  • I concur with every positive review of Captain Lance and would add that he is terrific at working with families and my young adult children (19 & 22) learned quickly with his encouragement and expertise.–fed4, Tucson (via TripAdvisor)

  • The catamaran you assigned us, a Fountaine Pajot Mahe 36′, was the quintessential learning platform for our classes, 2 students and an instructor. West Coast Multihulls has created a quintessential active learning and living classroom.–Jay W, Las Vegas

  • Most of the other companies I looked at held every course besides 114 on monohulls. With West Coast Multihulls, the first two days were spent on a small monohull for the 101 class with Capt Andy, who was a great instructor. The next five days were spent on a very nice 36ft cat with Capt Lance. The class was so much fun it seemed less like a class and more like a learning vacation.–CoreyB (via TripAdvisor)
